Okay, here is the question for this week. How do you define the word leadership? Don't look it up in a dictionary and decide your answer before you read the others comments. I don't want a bunch of people saying "I agree with..." rather I want your definition of the word (one you have learned or thought out).

leadership is a term that defines the role of a person who is followed by others, or placed in a position where his ideas influence other people's actions.

leadership is where one person leads others in hopefully the right direction. the right direction could be towards one's goal, or unfortunately away from the goal. a leader is some one that a people should be able to trust and will be followed by others. (i hope that makes sense)

i think leadership is accepting the responsibility of guiding other people to the best of your ability
ok, so.. i've really been thinking about this a while. it's easy to say leadership is when you set an example for people to follow.. but when you think about it, that's not a real leader or leadership. i think leadership is setting an example for others to follow that's beneficial to them. it's so easy to be a leader because of superficial desires, but i think the essence of true leadership and a true leader is leading others for the sake of others. yeah.. i don't know if that made sense, but i tried.

To me, being a leader would require you to be a role model to other people and set good standards for yourself. You can't be a good leader if people wouldn't want to follow you, and nobody would want to follow you if they don't respect you. Kind of a drawn out answer that might only make sense to me, but you get it. =P
Leadership is stepping up and taking charge of a situation or a group of people. It also involves setting good an example that people can follow.
Leadership is a position where one or more persons are directing a group of people in a certain function, such as school, church, and other groups. It usually holds with it an authority to guide and keep boundaries of that function. People in leadership - hopefully - use their knowledge to help those which they're directing, as well. For instance, a teacher is a leader in a school. They direct the class, keep boundaries (rules) of the school, and use their knowledge to benefit the students under them.
i think that leadership is most importantly a trait, and often a gift...when a person is capable of inspiring others and getting them to think for themselves, then I think that person is a good leader. It's important to guide people without overpowering them...and loving them always helps!!! I think we should lead by serving others, like Jesus, and that means we should encourage people do follow God's will for THEIR lives, and we should help them to do that as much as we can!

I think that leadership is a gift from God which He has graciously given to some of us but in good reason has chosen to keep from others. The people that have been blest with the gift are those who others are drawn to by their charachter and personality. Being naturally drawn to a person from the way that they present and carry themselves makes it a 100 times easier to want to follow in their footsteps. This is why someone who does have the gift must be very careful in the way that they use it as to not abuse it but use it their advantage in showing others the way of Christ.
Leadership is the act of taking the initiative and going out and do something. A leader is usually a person who starts something and carries it through, regardless of what other people think and how other people respond. Leadership involves knowing who you are and being comfortable with yourself. Usually when people see your confidence in yourself and your beliefs they will follow, then you become a leader!

what is leadership....leadership to me is when a person or a group of people decide they want to step up in a certain situation and take charge. By example they not only show others the right things to do, but they also educate them on how to do them. Leadership can be good or bad depending on who the person is that is taking charge of the situation. But hopefully they are teaching others the good things and not bad.

leadership is a position where u lead others and teach them effectively about something and others follow u....

Leadership is being able to synthesis and coordinate the plans of a specific group, not just taking over. The leader must keep order in a particular situation through taking charge, bringing together ideas, and being fair to all those he is helping.
to me, Leadership means being able to make a call on a decision after listening to what others think the call should be; they should take in others' ideas and also beable to think for themselves.
leadership i a person , or group, leads a group or person in both a positive and beneficial way. leadership is a gift given to direct people to a goal or a personal change
well in the terms of Christ to lead is to serve the group that you are trying to lead, as Christ payed the ultimate service for us through his death on the cross and by doing that lead us to the idea of forgiveness and love and that is how he leads us every day.
Leadership to me is a word describing a person that leads by example. Being a leader is a big deal because what you say and how you live inspires others to be the best they can be.
-Chris
leadership is when someone sets and example that others follow or inspires or encourages a person or group to fulfill or achieve something
